Rather than using an excel table or simple 2D graphics to view and analyse data, imagine you could dive into a landscape of data and handle the data intuitively.
IDEA, Immersive Data Exploration and Analysis, offers to do exactly that. It is a research project led by LS2N (Nantes Laboratory for Digital Sciences) and L’École de Design Nantes Atlantique, with the support of West Creative Industries, the University of Nantes and L’École de Design Nantes Atlantique. The project was launched in 2016 and since September 2017, has been the subject of a PhD thesis at the University of Nantes (undertaken by Adrien Fonnet).
